Good to know
What are the two kinds of ratio splits?
Aspect ratio defines each piece's shape, such as 3:4. Segment weights divide the original length into shares, such as 1:2:1.
Does splitting reduce image quality?
Without resizing, original pixel dimensions are preserved. PNG uses lossless encoding; JPG and WebP are re-encoded and may lose quality.
What happens to a smaller last piece?
Keep its actual size, pad it with a background color or discard it. Equal and weighted splits cover the whole original image.
